Specialty drugs remain top-of-mind for many employers concerned about the future. With insights from more than 600 decision-makers in employee benefits, our recent survey found rising plan cost driven by specialty drugs are the top concerns for benefits decision-makers.

The survey also found that 90% of employers are somewhat to very concerned about the impact of future regulations on benefit plan design, with even more considering switching pharmacy benefit providers in the last year.

In addition to rising plan costs, other big changes in the landscape will shape the landscape in 2024, such as major manufacturers lowering out-of-pocket insulin costs and developing federal PBM regulation efforts.
